Songs and romances at Ringve Music Museum
Opera Trøndelag invites young singers to a course in communicating Lieder and Romances at Ringve Music Museum in October!
Opera Trøndelag's strategy is to develop young singers and singing talents, as well as facilitating work in musical theatre and opera for younger performers. Ringve Academy is also part of Ringve Museum's efforts to facilitate the recruitment and development of the performing music field in Trøndelag and Norway. Ringve Academy is a collaboration between Opera Trøndelag and Ringve Music Museum.
PROFESSIONAL CONTENT:
Participants in the course will receive individual lessons in communicating Lieder and Romances. In addition, there will be joint presentations and Masterclass.
COURSE LEADERS

Pianist Knut Christian Jansson
Gitta Maria Sjöberg & Kåre Bjørkøy have worked together for several years and have good experience. They give individual lessons and work with both voice and scenic expression.
As part of the course, participants will receive a Masterclass with tenor Erlend Tvinnereim and pianist Knut Christian Jansson focusing on their interpretation of "Winterreise" by Franz Schubert. Tvinnereim will perform the work in Norwegian text at a concert in Ringve Concert Hall on 26 October together with Knut Christian Jansson.
Pianist Knut Christian Jansson will introduce participants to the hammered dulcimer at Ringve, and talk about the acoustic and technical challenges that this instrument presents.
WHO CAN SIGN UP
Younger singers and pianists can apply for the course; age approx. 20- approx. 35 years.
Professional background: Education equivalent to bachelor's or master's level.
The participants prepare 6 Lieder/romances from different eras, preferably song cycles or entire opuses. Texts for the songs should be memorised.
ATTENTION: Limited number of places!
The course concludes with an open concert in Ringve Concert Hall on Thursday 28 October at 19.0.
