Opera café

Friends of Opera Trøndelag invites you to the first Opera Café of the autumn!

"The playwright and poet Bertolt Brecht portrayed the lives of the working class in 20th century Germany through his texts. These texts are brought to life through the music of Kurt Weill and Hans Eisler. It is a raw and brutal everyday life with themes we can find relevant even today.

In this performance, the woman, the mother and the child play a central role. What is it like to be a woman and mother in a world in turmoil? Who has the right to decide over a woman's body and head? War is not only on the battlefield, but also in the home and in society, where each of us has to fight for who we are, what we get and what we stand for."

Emilie Nicoline Nilsdatter Almaas - vocals
Brage Kristian Einum - Piano
Aleksa Borojevic - clarinet

Tickets at the door for kr. 200,-
In the café you can buy cheese platters, cured meats and other refreshments.
