  • In 2016, Therese-Angelle completed her bachelor's degree at Barratt Due Music Institute, and in 2020 she graduated with a master's degree from the National Academy of Opera.
  • Therese-Angelle Khachik co-founded Norway's first queer opera company «Queer Voices» in 2019.
  • The award-winning lyric soprano has already sung roles such as Papagena and Pamina In The Magic Flute (2010/2018), Fiordiligi i Cosi fan Tutte (2018), Sandman i Hansel and Gretel (DNOB, 2019), Gran Sacerdotessa i Aida (2019), Alice Ford i Falstaff (KHiO/DNOB 2020), and was a guest artist at the Ultima festival in 2020. The nomination committee has recognised that the award winner is a courageous and independent performer. As a recent graduate in the midst of a pandemic, she has worked hard to carve out a place for herself in a demanding industry. The award winner has always been interested in the role of art in society, and particularly stands out through her work with the opera company Skeive stemmer. The committee also emphasises Therese's efforts in important productions for Opera Trøndelag, including in Viva la Musica , Olav Engelbrektsson, and most recently in Tryllefløyten at Kimen in 2018.

The committee consists of: Nina Sætherhaug, opera singer and board member of Friends of Opera Trøndelag. Anne Spets, Opera Trøndelag and Bjørn Ove Slind, Gjensidige Stjørdal.
