MiniTryll on Tour

In collaboration with «Barnehagekonsertordningen v/Fylkesmusikerne i Trøndelag» we are currently on tour with MiniTryll. A production for children aged 2 - 5 years (but we have played for both 0, 1 and 6 year olds as well. The performance is based on the opera «The Magic Flute» with music by W. A. Mozart. In just half an hour, we meet Papageno, Papagena, the Queen of the Night, Sarastro, Tamino and Pamina. They have to go through 3 trials and with a water pistol (the water test), tape (silence) and a packet of matches (fire) lead the story forward. The children take part in the story with both dance and song.

In collaboration with the kindergarten concert programme run by the county musicians in Trøndelag, we really get to tour the northern part of Trøndelag. We visit Skatval, Meråker, Inderøy, Steinkjer, Sørli and Sandvika in Lierne, Flatanger, Osen, Høylandet, Namsos, Rørvik, Nærøysund, Leka, Verdal, Røyrvik and Beistad.

ABOUT THE SHOW
A prince arrives in a foreign land and is about to be eaten by a crocodile! Fortunately, Papageno comes to his rescue. Papageno is a bird catcher and makes a living by catching small birds for the Queen of the Night. She is the queen of the land and uses the feathers of the birds he catches, while Papageno gets food and drink in return. But Papageno has also been sent by the Queen on a secret mission. He is to rescue her daughter, Pamina, from Sarastro. Papageno shows the prince a picture of the princess and he immediately falls in love. They decide to rescue the princess together.

After travelling together for a long time, they get lost and disappear from each other inside Sarastro's castle. Papageno finds Pamina, but the prince meets Sarastro. Sarastro is the Sun King and Pamina's father. The prince decides to try to win the princess and the entire kingdom, but first he must pass three trials: fire, silence and water. He succeeds and saves Pamina. Papageno, on the other hand, has tried to find a papagena (a girlfriend), without success. In the end, Papageno also gets to meet his papagena, and they have many baby birds together.
