When Norway's the first and most popular musical is going on tour in Trøndelagit is a unique opportunity to experience a parade route of actors, singers and musicians in a number you rarely see on the touring stages of Trøndelag.
With open arms and fresh pastries, Bør Børson Jr. embraces the world. He wants to be someone - he wants success! Driven by the scepticism of his surroundings and a not insignificant inferiority complex, he throws himself headlong into colonial business, in share trading and in love. Helped by his indomitable spirit, good humour and a twinkle in his eye (and a little bit of luck), Bør eventually succeeds: He is honoured as Olderdalen's great son and he gets his Josefine.
Rolv Wesenlund gave an iconic performance as Bør in the 1974 film. We have picked it up popular, versatile and indescribably funny John Brungot home to Trøndelag and the role of Bør Børson Jr. With warmth, humour and flair, he will get us all to cheer Bør Børson Jr. on his way to success.

Bør Børson Jr - embraced and brought to life for 100 years
The novel Bør Børson Jr. was published in 1920, after first being published as a serial in the humour magazine Hvepsen from 1917. It was Johan Falkberget's son, Magnus, who first dramatised Bør Børson Jr (1929), but the great renaissance came in 1972 when Harald Tusberg and Egil Monn-Iversen created the musical Bør Børson Jr, both as a stage version and as a film, both with Rolv Wesenlund in the title role.
Even in more recent times, productions of Bør Børson Jr. can still be seen on theatre stages around the country. Norway's first musical is alive and well precisely because we recognise ourselves in Bør and his indomitable desire for a better life.
