Annual Report for 2025

The 2025 annual report has been published

Opera Trøndelag can look back on a very active and significant year in 2025, with great activity, artistic initiatives and strong regional collaborations. The annual report is now ready – and it shows how opera and musical theatre have reached audiences throughout Trøndelag, from large stage productions to intimate encounters with children, young people and local communities.

We have achieved this through large productions, tours, concerts, talent development, and collaborations across the region. We have strengthened our role as a district opera for all of Trøndelag, and this year's main production, An-Magritt, became a major artistic and audience success. The performance was realised in collaboration with the Turnéteatret in Trøndelag and the Fylkesmusikerne in Trøndelag, reaching audiences throughout the county. The production confirmed the value of strong regional collaborations and showed how professional performing arts can be made more accessible to the public.

Throughout the year, Opera Trøndelag has produced and carried out a total of 96 different performances and outreach activities in 21 different municipalities. At the same time, the Opera School has continued to be an important arena for children and young people, with a focus on mastery, inclusion, and talent development.

2025 was also the year that Opera Trøndelag was organised as a foundation – an important strategic move to ensure robust and long-term operations in the years to come.

We are proud of what has been created together with employees, artists, volunteers, partners, and the public throughout the year. The annual report shows both the breadth of our activities and the significance that art and culture can have for community, inclusion, and regional development.
