The Opera Trøndelag Foundation aims to conduct professional opera/musical theatre activities, locally and regionally, according to the district opera model. The foundation will promote activities where children and young people can develop within the performing arts. The Foundation may also conduct other activities related to main purpose. The foundation Opera Trøndelag is a continuation of Steinvikholm Music Theatre, which was founded in 1992.
The purpose of the Opera School is to make high-quality performing arts available to children and young people, and to motivate them to take further steps in the field. The Opera School aims to be a centre for the performing arts that gives children and young people a positive learning and experience that is important for their future. Regardless of their role later in life, this is an important platform.
Friends of Opera Trøndelag is Opera Trøndelag's very own friends' association. The purpose of the association is to promote the interest in musical theatre in Trøndelag through cooperation and own events. Experience new talents, performances with international soloists, own tours and events and much more. Share the experience with other friends interested in opera and get discounted prices.

Diversity and inclusion is important to Opera Trøndelag. We want to be an institution that attracts volunteers. We create meeting points in everyday life, and organiser for various forms of volunteer work. It should be possible to get involved in our productions as a volunteer regardless of background and social status.
In this way, we work to equalise social inequalities. Opera Trøndelag creates meeting places where people can network. Everyone can work together - and there's always something to collaborate on. The motives for seeking co-operation can be many. It may be the social community, the desire to learn, create a good local environment or just the feeling of being part of something big.
Å feel connected to the local community is associated with having a local social network and being involved in events and things that happen in the municipality. But we are working on this with the UN Sustainable Development Goal "sustainable cities and communities".
